Built in 1852 by an unknown builder, this bridge at Arlington Green is one of Vermont's most photographed covered bridges, framed by the white church on the green and the former Norman Rockwell home nearby. Local tradition says a flood shortly after construction swept it off its abutments intact, and it had to be taken apart and rebuilt in place. It retains unusual integrity with no major 20th-century strengthening, and was featured on a USPS Priority Mail stamp in 2013.
