Built in 1867 by an unknown builder, the Union Village Bridge is the longest surviving multiple kingpost truss bridge in Vermont, stiffened by a long diagonal brace running the length of each truss. It is one of only two covered bridges left in Thetford, several others in town having been removed when the Union Village flood-control dam was built. The bridge underwent a major rehabilitation in 2002-2003. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on September 17, 1974.
