Also called the Moseley Bridge for its builder, John Moseley, this small bridge was built in 1899 and is believed to be the last king post truss bridge built on a Vermont public highway during the historic covered-bridge era; it is one of only two surviving 19th-century king post bridges in the state. Steel I-beams were added beneath its deck in 1971, and its granite abutments were faced with concrete in 1990. It is one of five covered bridges in Northfield, one of the highest concentrations in any Vermont town.
