Homeowner Robert R. Robbins built this queen post bridge in 1962 as the driveway crossing to his house above the Jail Branch, and it is named for his family. Though not a historic structure, it was built in authentic covered-bridge design as a tribute to the old bridge that stood about a hundred feet downstream until the Flood of 1927 swept it away. Later owners added steel beams beneath the deck in 1990 after the bridge began to feel unstable. It remains private and closed to the public.
