Built in 1883 by Arthur Adams, the Moxley Bridge is Chelsea's only surviving 19th-century covered bridge and the northernmost of the string of bridges over the First Branch of the White River. It is a skewed bridge, set across the stream at a slant so its plan is trapezoidal, and it is noted for its long hand-hewn bottom chords. A wooden ramp at the north portal helps keep water off the deck. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on September 10, 1974.
