Built in 1887 by Lewis Robinson, Charles Leonard, and Fred Tracy, the Morgan Bridge is one of two 19th-century covered bridges in Belvidere and one of five on the North Branch of the Lamoille River within a five-mile span. It has needed few major repairs beyond a new standing-seam metal roof fitted under a state grant. A 1990s Vermont Agency of Transportation study found details of its trusses allowed an unusually high 9-ton rating for a wooden bridge. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
