Built about 1880-81 by James F. Tasker, described by historian R.S. Allen as one of Windsor County's most prolific bridgewrights despite being unable to read or write, this is one of only two surviving 19th-century covered bridges in Hartland. Tasker usually built a modified kingpost design of his own, making this Town lattice bridge a less typical example of his work. The Interstate 91 highway bridges now rise just east of its wooded Lulls Brook setting.
