Built in 1902 by Arthur C. Adams, the Larkin Bridge is one of the last documented covered bridges built in Vermont during the historic bridge-building period, and one of only two documented early 20th-century examples in the state, the other being Randolph's Kingsbury Bridge of 1904. Its trusses form a rectangle while its portals are slightly skewed, giving the bridge a parallelogram shape. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on July 30, 1974.
