🚧 This bridge is currently in storage, not standing. It was taken down piece by piece and is being kept by the Montgomery Historical Society until a new site and restoration funding are found β€” you cannot visit it in place right now.

Also called the Gibou bridge, this Jewett brothers span crossed the South Branch of the Trout River on Gibou Road south of Montgomery Center. Engineers judged it the most deteriorated of Montgomery's bridges and warned it could fall into the river, so the Montgomery Historical Society raised funds to take it down piece by piece and store it until a new site and restoration funding could be found. It remains in storage, and Montgomery's famous bridge count is now usually given as six standing bridges plus this one.
