This queen post span carries the road across Black Creek, a tributary of the Missisquoi River, at the western end of East Fairfield village, just south of Route 36. Its builder is not recorded. After repeated attempts by the town to keep the deteriorating bridge open, it was closed entirely, then rebuilt by contractors in 2008-2009 and returned to traffic in the summer of 2009.
