This covered bridge was built in 1967 as the entrance to Mills Riverside Park in Jericho, carrying park visitors over the Browns River. After roughly 54 years of weathering, the Jericho Underhill Park District judged it deteriorated enough to plan a phased reconstruction, beginning with removal of the bridge's walls, trusses and roof.
