💬 High on its namesake hill in Windsor, the Windsor Mansion Inn began as Juniper Hill Farm and took its colonial-revival form in 1902, looking over Lake Runnemede, the Cornish Hills and Mount Ascutney. Its guest book includes Presidents Roosevelt and Wilson, and it has operated as an inn since 1944. After a 2015 purchase brought a million-dollar restoration, the 14-acre estate offers seventeen guest accommodations, each with a private bath, plus comfortable lounges, manicured lawns and gardens, and a deck and patio with Connecticut River Valley views. It doubles as an event venue hosting ceremonies, cocktail parties and receptions all in one place.
