💬 A three-story guesthouse and tavern on Route 100 since 1846, the West Dover Inn sits three and a half miles from Mount Snow in the heart of the Green Mountain National Forest. Its twelve individually decorated rooms carry antiques, private baths, and in some, fireplaces or jetted tubs. Downstairs, the 1846 Tavern serves hot breakfasts, seafood and homemade pasta dinners, and the only oyster bar in Dover, with an outdoor fire pit for après-ski. It's a warm, historic base for a Deerfield Valley winter — walkable to the village shops and a short drive to the slopes.
