💬 At the south gateway to Stowe village, this covered pedestrian walkway has dressed the Mountain Road (VT-108) highway bridge over the West Branch Little River since 1973 — at 150 feet, Vermont's longest non-authentic covered bridge. Stowe built it so the village entrance would keep its covered-bridge character, and from inside it frames the classic postcard view of Stowe Community Church. It is also signed as the Giles W. Dewey Memorial Bridge. Steps from the Route 100 junction, it is an easy stop on a village stroll.
