πŸ’¬ This 1896 Warren through truss over the Deerfield River is, per the Vermont Division for Historic Preservation, the only double-intersection Warren through truss left in Vermont β€” the state's other example, at Woodstock, was destroyed by Tropical Storm Irene in 2011. The Vermont Construction Company built it for about $1,513, and it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. When the town replaced it functionally with the adjacent Woods Road bridge in 1985, the old truss was left standing beside its replacement and is now owned by the Division for Historic Preservation. It has no decking and is closed to all traffic β€” view it from the modern bridge and the road.
