π¬ Every trip to Jamaica State Park crosses this bridge: a 172-foot single-span steel Pratt through truss built in 1926 by the Kittredge Bridge Company, its steel fabricated by the Berlin Construction Company, resting on dry-laid stone abutments and carrying Depot Street over the West River. It went up a year before the Great Flood of 1927 destroyed more than 1,200 Vermont bridges β and survived. The Vermont Agency of Transportation has determined it eligible for the National Register of Historic Places, and it retains nearly all of its original members.
