💬 On 2.5 acres of gardens in historic Chester, the Fullerton Inn has welcomed travelers since 1885. Its 20 guest rooms — each with a private en-suite bath — are decorated to reflect the grace of the old building, and the porch and mountain setting invite slow mornings. Downstairs, the on-site restaurant serves fine dining built on locally sourced ingredients for lunch and dinner, dine-in or takeout, and it's a local favorite for weddings and events too. There's no elevator (all rooms are up a staircase), but the charm runs deep — this is the Vermont inn experience, done right.
