💬 National Historic Landmark: an 1880 town lattice truss covered bridge built by Nichols M. Powers, believed to be the only covered bridge in America with a slate roof. It still carries one lane of Upper Cold River Road over the Cold River, with a pull-off nearby, and was rebuilt after Tropical Storm Irene.
